An ITALIAN AMERICAN NEIGHBORHOOD spot for handmade pasta, martinis, burgers, and old-school dessert.
Come for the Big Pro. Stay for the pasta. Save room for the Spumoni Sundae.
Brought to you behind the team at Ciao, Gloria, what began as monthly pasta nights at Ciao, Pasta Night offers a menu of pasta classics with some contemporary twists, as well as seasonal appetizers, a selection of entrees, and a variety of Italian desserts, all in a relaxed, cozy environment.
Every evening, we offer a casual, trattoria-style dinner with a focus on quality— where you can enjoy classic dishes in a laid back setting. Forget about the white tablecloths and formalities— here, you’ll find delicious food served without pretense. Enjoy the vibe, the art on the walls, good music and friendly faces around. We’re your go-to neighborhood pasta spot.
On weekends we offer a delicious brunch menu from 11-3 that includes the classics, and a few pasta dishes as well. No one said you can’t have carbonara for breakfast… think of it as a deconstructed BEC.
From 3-5, we also offer a weekend aperitivo, with Italian beers, wines, cocktails, mocktails and snacks.
We also feature a small market, with imported Italian goods, fresh house made pastas, sauces and more available for purchase.
We are a small and casual spot. We accept walk-ins, on a first come-first served basis and also accept reservations.

JOIN OUR PASTA + PASTRY CLUB!
Each month, Pasta Night and Ciao, Gloria join forces to fill your fridge with the food we crave most: handmade pastas, slow-simmered sauces, comforting mains from the oven, and sweet finishes from Ciao's bakery case.
Every box includes two full meals per person — one baked pasta, ready to heat and enjoy, and one fresh pasta with sauce and garnishes to cook and twirl at home — plus sides, a dessert, and the occasional pantry gem like golden olive oils, creamy burrata we fight over, or spicy salumi that disappears in minutes.
This club is a true neighborhood collaboration. At Ciao, Gloria, we bring Italian-American roots and a pastry chef’s precision to every loaf, cookie, and cake. Right across the street, Pasta Night carries that same spirit into the savory side with handmade pasta and Brooklyn hospitality.
By joining, you’re fueling two kitchens, one team, and a shared vision of what good food can do for a community.
CHi SIAMO
Renato Poliafito is a James Beard and IACP nominated restaurateur, pastry chef, cookbook author, designer, and entrepreneur based in Brooklyn, NY. After a career in graphic design and advertising, he pivoted his career to food, training as a barista to learn more about the industry, and eventually became interested in opening a bakery and coffee shop. In 2005, Renato opened the Red Hook flagship location of Baked, which kicked off a culinary renaissance in the waterfront neighborhood, resulting in several cookbooks, a line of mixes, granola, bakeware and a location in Tokyo. After more than a decade at Baked, Renato decided to embark on a new project and opened Ciao, Gloria in Prospect Heights in 2019, a daytime café and neighborhood bakery steeped in his Italian-American upbringing and heritage. He is also the author of Dolci!: American Baking with an Italian Accent, his first solo cookbook featuring Italian and “Italian American-ish” cakes, cookies, pies and pastries for any occasion. Pasta Night is directly across the street from Ciao, Gloria and is an extension of his love of Italian American cuisine and culture.
Pasta Night co-owner Joseph Catalanotti is an educator by trade with a lifelong penchant for Italian food and hospitality. Joseph met Renato during the pandemic when he was a regular at Ciao, Gloria; the two bonded over their love of Prospect Heights and their shared Sicilian heritage, and decided to open Pasta Night together. Joseph brings both an insatiable passion for food as well as decades of mentorship experience to the Pasta Night team, and manages the team as well as day-to-day operations.
